Have you noticed t-shirts haven't gone out of style? If anything - it's the opposite! There are innovative and amazing brands being created every day, and most of them have a signature series of custom t-shirts to promote their line. In an increasingly popular market, the brands that are standing out as the most successful are paying attention to the details.
Because we've had the opportunity to work with so many great retail brands, we've been able to provide them with quality finishing services behind the scenes. This article outlines a few of the most popular "finishing" touches.
“Nativ has decided to make their shirts FEEL as good as they LOOK.”
There are 3 elements to a great shirt: quality of garment, quality of design, and quality of print. If you have the first 2, but not the 3rd, you run the risk of someone buying your shirt, but never actually wanting to wear it because the ink is thick and uncomfortable. That’s why brands like Nativ have decided to make their shirts FEEL as good as they LOOK. You can accomplish this by using waterbased, discharage, or fashion soft inks.

“Some brands, like Mack’s Prairie Wings, get creative and use this print area to brag that their shirts are locally ‘Printed In Arkansas’.”
One of the best kept secrets in the industry is that you don’t have to cut-and-sew your own shirts in order to have private labels printed inside them. There are many garments out there that offer their styles with tear-away tags. Using these brands allows us to print your logo, website, and other information inside the shirt - making you look like a well-established, professional brand! Some brands, like Mack’s Prairie Wings, get creative and use this print area to brag that their shirts are “Locally Printed In Arkansas”. Have something extra you want to say? Custom Printed Tags is the way to do it.
Cost: 72qty Minimum. Starting at $1.80/pc ($1.50 in August*)
“The moment [St. Jude] opens their boxes, they’re ready to start checking them into their inventory.”
Whether you’re a brick and mortar retail shop or a fulfillment warehouse, you’re going to have a hard time tracking your inventory without barcoded hang tags. For brands like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, we print their UPC barcodes on labels customized with their logo, then hang tag them on the shirt tag. The moment they open their boxes, they’re ready to start checking them into their inventory.
Cost: Add $0.40/pc ($0.30 in August*)
“If you’re selling at an event like FCA or fulfilling them out of a warehouse like Banded, this final step is not just convenient - it’s beneficial to your sanity.”
If you’ve ever opened a box of 100+ shirts and tried to grab 1 shirt from the center of the box for a customer, then you know the pain of disorder. Handling shirt inventory is a much better experience when your shirts are already individually folded and bagged straight out of the box. Whether your brand is selling shirts at an event like FCA or picking and pulling them for online sales like Banded, folding and bagging is not just convenient - it’s beneficial to your sanity.
Cost: Add $0.50/pc ($0.40 in August*)
